PNW CRITICAL CARE SUMMIT HAS BEEN CANCELLED
The Summit planning team has been closely following the Washington State’s response and recommendations regarding the COVID-19 outbreak. There has been no official policy or enforcement guidelines as of today regarding large gathering event cancellation. However, given current predictive models regarding positive cases and the current and projected demand for staffing due to potential surge capacity in our hospitals, the planning team has decided that for the protection and support of our local communities, the event should be cancelled.
Will I get my registration fee refunded?
Yes - all registration fees will be refunded over the next few days and registered people can expect to see refunds back to their accounts in the next 7-14 days. Emails will also go out advising that registration has been cancelled. If you do not receive an email notifying you of cancellation in the next seven days, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Will the Summit be held sometime this year?
No. The Summit’s primary target audience is healthcare workers, particularly ER, high acuity, and critical care professionals, who are the staff predicted to see the majority of patients with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 symptoms. It would not be prudent to reschedule the event at a time when we are uncertain of the short term impact of the disease.
Will the Summit be held next year?
Yes. The plan is to continue holding the summit annually and the planning team will begin planning for the 2021 Summit in the next few months.
I won a free entry to the summit during last year’s vendor passport draw: Can I use it towards next year’s Summit?
Yes. The two individuals who were eligible for free entry to the summit this year will be entitled to attend free next year. The planning team will reach out personally to the individuals with further information.
I am a vendor/exhibitor: Will our company receive a refund for the booth space?
Yes. Exhibitors will receive a full refund and the fee will be returned in the manner it was submitted, e.g. if you paid by check you will receive a check. The vendor/exhibitor coordinator will be reaching out to the payment point of contact noted on the registration form that was originally submitted.
I was a scheduled speaker this year. Can I still participate next year?
Of course! We would love to have our speakers return next year. We will be scheduling the date for 2021 over the next few months and will reach out with specific dates in the near future. You can expect the date to be sometime in March 2021.
